The Red Storm encounters a Wells team in a rebuilding year.

As always the Red Storm maintained  their high level of play, and execution of assignments. It started off in a fury as  Scarborough returned opening Kick Off returned to the Wells 49. On the first play of the game Scarborough delivered with perfection each blocking assignment just as it is drawn on the board and practiced each week. The offensive line lead by the blocking Ian Morris, Mike Pino and Jake MacDonald opened a gaping hole, letting Kenny Adams do the rest as he burst through the hole and never looked back scoring a TD on the first play. The extra point attempt however failed leaving the score 6-0 Scarborough.

Scarborough kicked off and the defense gave no quarter as they forced a Wells punt, leaving the offense with excellent field position. The Scarborough Offense went to work again and the as has been the story all season the tandem of  Pino and MacDonald opened a hole for Dan LeClair and he left everybody behind as he raced over 50 yds for the Storm’s second score.  Unfortunately the point after touch down was no good, leaving the score 12-0 Scarborough.

Wells started to pull together and began to move the ball crossing into Scarborough Territory.  Once again the Red Storm defense was up to the task as Charlie Raybine ended the Wells drive by scooping up a fumble and racing 70 yds for TD.  The extra point again failed and the score was  18-0 Scarborough.

Punts were exchanged several times with the Storm finally scoring again on a 30 yard TD from Ben Greenberg to Bryan Sargent.  The two point conversion was good on a pass from Ben Greenberg to Ian Morris and the score was 26 -0 in favor of the Storm.

The Defenses then battled and finally late in the third period Greenberg found wide receiver  Matt Fosler for the Storm’s final score.  LeClair added the extra point and the Storm lead 33 – 0 which proved to be the final score.

Also noted was the outstanding defensive play of Eddie Kinsman,  Luke Bernard, Christian NeelonJacobe Dipietro, Ian Daly, Jeff Russell, Andrew Hopkins, and Alex O’Connor all combining to give the Red Storm a shutout victory at 33-0 and moving the team to 5-0 on the season.

Coach Spino had nothing but praise for his student athletes as he said “this victory was truly a disciplined focused effort on behalf of the entire team as everyone contributed to making our record 5 – 0”

The Jr. Varsity got off to a shaky start and then got on track to defeat the Wells JV 28 – 8 on this rain soaked day.  Tough going with weather but the JV team stay focused and pulled together adding another victory to their season.
